With KeyPOD, distribution centres and carriers can work more efficiently together and provide a better service for clients by sharing real time delivery information as and when it is required.
How does KeyPOD work?
1. The distribution centre books a delivery using the online KeyPOD server. (Links to existing distribution centre systems can be provided if required.)
2. The carrier is notified of the booking.
3. The driver collects using their KeyPOD enabled smartphone to scan the barcode or key in the collection. The KeyPOD smartphone automatically updates the KeyPOD server with the collection details including the time and place (using the smartphone’s GPS position).
4. The progress of the drivers can be tracked using the KeyPOD server.
5. The driver uses his KeyPOD smartphone for proof of delivery with barcode scanning, signature capture and keyed in information options as required. The KeyPOD smartphone automatically updates the KeyPOD server with the delivery details including the time and place.
6. The driver also has the option of using the KeyPOD smartphone to photograph any damaged goods. The KeyPOD smartphone automatically updates the KeyPOD server with the details including the photograph.
7. All the delivery information is immediately available online for the distribution centre, carrier and client staff in accordance with their respective secure access rights. Email and text notification options are available.
8. The KeyPOD servers are run in a secure, resilient and high availability environment. All data is saved and automatically backed up for two years to facilitate historical analysis and reporting.
The KeyPOD enabled smart phones support free SatNav (GPS).

What equipment is required?
• Each driver will require a smartphone with Android operating system. Their SIM card needs to be enabled for data transfer. Keyfort will load the KeyPOD App onto their smartphone. Keyfort will advise on which model of Android smartphone to use.
• The distribution centre, carrier and clients will require access to the Internet to view the KeyPOD server. Keyfort provides the online KeyPOD server service and will set it up in accordance with each company’s requirements.
How much will it cost?
• The KeyPOD service charge is £29.85 per KeyPOD enabled smartphone per month. There is a twelve month minimum contract term.
• The set up of the KeyPOD enabled smartphone is free of charge.
• Keyfort will advise on the required Android smartphone, the cost of which together with the SIM is the responsibility of the carrier/distribution centre.
• The set up of the KeyPOD server is free of charge. If links to existing computer systems are required these will be subject to an agreed specification and charge.
• The rental of the online KeyPOD server service is included in the monthly KeyPOD service charge.
